make a wise decision

http://budurl.com/u69v

There are two things I want to let you know that pertain
to being successful at whatever you do.

Do not underestimate these two things because they are
critical to be mastered if you want to accomplish any task.

Let's start with the first one...

The first thing is to set specific goals for yourself. A goal
is something that you should be able to measure.Getting rich
is not a goal because you can't measure rich, get it?

Having a million dollars in your bank account by the time
you reach a certain age is measurable.

Losing weight is not a goal. Losing 25 pounds/kilos by the
end of the year is measurable. The more specific you can
be, the better. Being specific means you're really committed
to your goals. It means you have a clear image of what
you want when you reach your goal.

As humans, setting goals is not something that we naturally
do. Let's think about that for a moment -- when you were
younger, your goals were set by your parents. You go to
school and your parents took care of everything from giving
you shelter to feeding you.

Your only task was to study and do well in school. In
school, your tasks were given to you by your teachers. You
just had to finish the tasks which they gave you.

As you grew up, you were ultimately given more responsibility
and more freedom to make your own choices. As an adult,
you have the most freedom, choices and responsibility.
Now, you have to create your own tasks in order to get
what you want.

When you write down specific goals, you are designing a
roadmap of your life. You don't get into a car and not have
a plan of where to go! In the same way, you shouldn't live
your life without a crystal clear plan.

Once you have clear goals in mind, you need to set deadlines
for those goals. If you don't set a deadline then you have
no urgency to reach your goals.

It's very easy to put off doing something for the next day
because it always seems like there is something more
important to do!

The truth is that when you put something off, you're just
delaying your success. You already told yourself that the
goal is important so get it done and you will feel much
better about yourself
